The Goddess Delivers takes a much different approach to cannabis delivery in contrast to Eazeup.com, which I reviewed in February. Unlike Eazeup.com, The Goddess Delivers does not aim for instant, on the spot delivery, but instead offers overnight delivery to any location in California. With only one night of planning in advance, you can have your order at your door early the next morning – anywhere in California - though some rural areas may incur extra shipping costs. This contrasts with Eaze’s offer of instant gratification, but is available in parts of California where Eaze is not, and where dispensaries themselves may be hard to get to. The Goddess Delivers also offers free phone support to answer any questions about products or shipping.
The Goddess Delivers, in my experience, offers a number of advantages over Eaze – so long as you are patient and able enough to plan for one night ahead, and avoid Sundays when there is no shipping. For me, the most striking comparison was in terms of selection and descriptions. While Eaze offers a large handful of strains, there is a great amount of variation day to day in terms of stocking any pure sativas or indicas. It can go either way. The Goddess Delivers offers a much steadier selection of strains – normally around half a dozen pure sativas, 10 to 12 hybrids, and always at least 1 or 2 pure indicas. Those selections tend to stay consistent for a bit longer with the Goddess Devlivers than on Eaze - a strain being typically available for 1 to 2 weeks instead of 1 to 2 days with Eaze - meaning if you try a small amount of something you like, you will likely to be able to go back for more. The prices are almost universally better than Eaze - albeit still on the expensive side as far as cannabis prices in California go - with top shelf strains going for 55 an eighth, with cheaper though still amazing strains selling for 50. Eighths from the Goddess Delivers are 4 grams instead of 3.5 - another advantage. Different levels of quality are even available for small buds, shake, and trim, running as cheap as 50 dollars for a half ounce of mixed shake. These options offer a great amount of versatility for anyone on a budget, or creating their own edibles or tinctures. Unlike with Eaze delivery, strains are even available in single grams and 55 dollar samplers of 4 grams of different strains.
The selection beyond just flower is equally staggering. If you want kief, pre-filled vape cartridges, and/or a certain edible from Eaze you would simply have to check every day and hope you don’t miss your window of opportunity. Items are sometimes only available for a day at a time on Eaze. Again, in contrast, The Goddess Delivers maintains a much more consistent selection of a wide range of cannabis products, including kief from different strains, different types of bubble hash, and traditional style charas – an extremely unusual find. In fact, I had rarely encountered non-dabbing hash at all in California, much less three different types, each available in different strains. This selection leans “old school” in the best possible way.
There are 6 or 7 different types of pre-filled vape cartridges, and whole sections of the site dedicated hash oil, wax, and shatter. There is also a wide selection of tinctures as well as topical balms and salves. The range of selection is much greater than those found in the average dispensary. The wide range applies to edibles as well, including brownies, cookies, candy, sublingual strips, chews, and soft gels. Prices for all these products are average or below average. Descriptions for all items, whether flower, concentrates, or edibles, are detailed and accurate as far as I can tell – something that cannot be said Eazeup.com’s strain descriptions. Though Eaze’s descriptions include percentages of THC and CBD, Goddess Delivers offers more in-depth, qualitative descriptions of every product, including a summary of the effects.
Shipping costs are not so much a downside for Goddess Delivers, as they are simply another reason why some planning becomes necessary to get the most out of it. Fees are avoidable. On weekdays, orders totaling 75 dollars or more are shipped free to most parts of California. Saturday deliveries are free with an order of 100 dollars or more. Otherwise, shipping in my area of the East Bay is 14 dollars on weekdays and 18 on Saturdays. Deliveries are shipped overnight when placed before 6:30 P.M. This may seem pricey compared with Eaze’s free delivery, until you factor in the better pricing – top shelf eighths are priced a full ten dollars cheaper than they are from Eaze, at 55 instead of 65. Trying three different strains from Goddess Delivers, I also found the quality to be simply better across the board. For me, at this point in my life, there is no question that the benefits outweigh any downsides for Goddess Delivers. I have pretty specific taste in strains, and the pure indicas I look for rarely even showed up on Eaze in the months I was using it. Goddess Delivers always has a selection of them, featuring Yoda Kush, Kandahar, and Ancient OG in the indica category when I ordered. If all this wasn’t enough, the Goddess Delivers uses small plastic jars instead of the incredibly unreliable bags from Eaze, which usually lost their ability to zip close after a few days of use, leading to dried out buds.
There was a point in my life where I would’ve preferred to have access to any given strong, generic hybrid, brought to me with 20 minutes or less. Eaze might be your best bet if your goal is to simply get the maximum amount of THC into your system as quickly as possible. But, these days I prefer the ability to find exactly what I need, available when I need it at a good price, even when it necessitates one night of planning ahead. I would imagine Goddess Delivers would be the right choice for most smokers, except perhaps the most occasional users who do not normally keep it around, but may need it as soon as possible. It is worth noting that Eaze is still mostly limited to California’s metropolitan areas, but Goddess Delivers ships almost anywhere. My delivery arrived safely, discreetly, and with an extra half gram for me as a new customer – an indica, presumably since they noticed the rest of my order was indica as well. Something about a free half gram feels better than a free pre-roll. I actually preferred not having to go outside to meet a delivery person at a certain time, as with Eaze, and not having to awkwardly describe the confusing entrance to my apartment complex over the phone, to a driver in huge rush. This experience is entirely hassle free. As impressive as Eaze’s instant delivery was when I was new to the cannabis scene in California, Goddess Delivers is the more practical, if less flashy, long-term option.
